NEWS RELEASE: High-Speed Rail Authority Opens Avenue 9 Overcrossing in Madera County to Traffic
MADERA COUNTY, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) announced today the Avenue 9 overcrossing located in Madera County is now open to traffic. The Avenue 9 overcrossing is the 10th high-speed rail structure this year to be completed or opened to traffic in the Central Valley. Designed and constructed by Tutor-Perini/Zachry/Parsons (TPZP), the Avenue 9 overcrossing is located just east of State Route 99. The overcrossing is 177 feet long, more than 66 feet wide, and will take traffic over the future high-speed rail tracks.

KINGS COUNTY, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) announced today the completion of the Kansas Avenue overcrossing, the ninth high-speed rail structure to be completed this year. The Kansas Avenue overcrossing in Kings County is now open to traffic.

NEWS RELEASE: California High-Speed Rail Authority Moves Closer to Designing Track and Systems
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Board of Directors today took another step toward bringing the nation’s first 220 mph electrified high-speed rail system into operational service. The Board approved the release of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to industry for design services for track and overhead contact systems (OCS) for the initial 171-mile passenger service connecting Merced to Bakersfield.

PHOTO RELEASE: High-Speed Rail Recognizes 10th Cohort to Complete Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program
SELMA, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority today recognized 17 students who completed the Central Valley Training Center’s 12-week pre-apprenticeship program located in the city of Selma. Since the start of the training center in 2020, 151 students have graduated, with more than 1,000 inquiring about the program.
